Located on the outskirts of Tewkesbury, the Cleaner Safer Group headquarters has easy access from junction 9 of the M5 and is a short drive from Tewkesbury, Gloucester and Worcester. Our test laboratory is positioned in the countryside between Tewkesbury and Cheltenham.

Training and Development Manager
Permanent, Full Time
Mon-Fri: 37.5 hours
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an energetic and dynamic Training and Development Manager to join our enthusiastic and ever-evolving Training department.
Working closely with the Head of HR &Training and the Training Project Manager, you will ensure that a comprehensive and robust HETAS training offer is in place and delivered effectively across HETAS approved training centres nationwide.
You will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities and implementing solutions aligned with our Company Purpose and the needs of the sector. This will include new courses, online learning and CPD activities, so experience in the education sector and familiarity with learning management systems and blended learning options is essential, as is the confident use of MS Office. Growing the training business is a key objective of this role. Solid fuel or environmental industry experience, or an ability to quickly learn the concepts, would be ideal to ensure that the external training offer adds value and meets sector needs.
As an experienced manager, you will support the Head of HR & Training with the development and successful delivery of the Training Business Plan and Budget. You will bring along a passion for coaching and developing staff to support team members in achieving their goals and working to their full potential. Able to demonstrate strong communication skills, verbally and in writing, you will have the ability to present with confidence. Sound time management skills are a must so that you are able to multi-function, achieve deadlines and meet or exceed the budget.

HETAS Helpline Advisor (Solid Fuel)

Mon-Fri: flexible and part time hours will be considered
During an exciting period of continued growth, we’re currently looking for a Helpline Advisor to join the HETAS and Woodsure family. This role is ideal for you if you have experience working in the solid fuel or plumbing and heating industry and you are looking for a change of role, perhaps for a move into an office environment. Whilst full time hours are ideally required, part time and/or flexible working will be considered.
In this role, you will join our Technical team which responds to incoming technical queries from registrants, hence industry experience is essential. You will have practised customer service skills and an ability to explain information clearly, adapting to the caller and situation. In addition to telephone duties, you will have the opportunity to support the Technical team in case reviews, certification activities and additional technical projects for the organisation as a whole.

Finance Manager
Permanent, Full Time

We are looking for a recently qualified accountant, either CIMA or ACCA, who also has experience managing a team, to work closely with our Head of Finance.
You will have an eye for detail and be able to confidently manage the financial accounting process and oversee the production of the monthly management accounts for each business unit, and consolidated accounts. You’ll be able to confidently complete quarterly VAT returns and monthly & year-end reconciliations.
With strong time management skills, you will ensure timely and accurate completion of financial reports, which are presented appropriately for the audience. Competence in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills, is essential and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and SharePoint would be an advantage.
Bringing your experience in implementing financial procedures, you will be able to liaise effectively with department managers to regularly review performance and suggest changes to drive continuous improvement of account processes and policies. You will also be confident to lead financial projects.

Content Writer

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Content Writer has arisen to support our growing business. You will use excellent communication skills in collaboration with the leadership team, management and third-party media partners, amongst others, to understand potentially complex topics. Using your creative English language and proofreading skills, you will be responsible for creating well-researched and compelling written and digital content across multiple platforms, for both external and internal communications. You will also support the Marketing team with planning and developing marketing activities.
An ability to work on multiple projects accurately, in addition to displaying excellent organisational and time management skills is essential. As is a strong understanding of MS Office, websites and social media platforms. Experience with Adobe or alternative software would be an advantage.

Compliance Officer

During an exciting period of continued growth, we’re currently looking for a Compliance Officer to join the HETAS and Woodsure team. You will be able to bring experience in administration and confident use of MS Office to the role. With a customer service background, you will have an ability to effectively handle complaints utilising confident, polite and professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong time management is needed, with the ability to prioritise your workload.
This role is responsible for reviewing cases for compliance and making recommendations in line with our company policies, so a good eye for detail is essential, as is effective liaison with colleagues in other departments. Being a team player who can also work using your own initiative is required.

Wood Schemes Registration Officer

As an experienced administrator, with customer service experience, you will be joining our Woodsure Registration team at an exciting time, with plenty of opportunity for development within the role and the wider team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, with clear and concise communication skills for effective liaison with a variety of stakeholders. You will be a true team player, demonstrating a proactive and flexible work approach. Head of Woodsure

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Senior Manager to join our inspiring Senior Leadership team in a period of continued growth. This will be an extremely stimulating position as Head of Woodsure, responsible for all Woodsure departments.
This role requires strategic vision and leadership to help us achieve our ambitious long-term business goals. You will be someone who will quickly understand the business operations in three multi-functional and successful teams; administration and contract management with responsibility for fuel quality schemes and a laboratory with responsibility for fuel quality testing and research, working to EN ISO 17025 and 17065 standards and conditions.
Building on our success, you will be able to drive our strategy by identifying opportunities for growth and implementing innovative offerings to add value.
As well as a minimum of five years experience of leading teams at a senior level, you will be able to bring the following to this role:
• A passion for environmental issues; qualifications in an environmental or similar discipline would be an advantage
• Experienced in the development and delivery of an ambitious business plan for multiple income streams, with an ability to identify and drive innovative growth plans and targets
• Leadership skills with a natural ability to motivate teams, encouraging a culture of empowerment to achieve targets and service excellence
• Management reporting experience; able to translate a detailed understanding into pragmatic solutions and actions
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to present and operate at a senior management level
• Successful stakeholder engagement
• Considered and confident decision making
• MS Office literate, with an ability to quickly understand the CRM and identify and lead on enhancements that would benefit the business
• Experience in working to quality standards
